Arnold Schwarzenegger, who campaigned as a new kind of republican, vows to veto the same sex marriage bill passed by the California Legislature, saying it violated the will of the people...presumably the same people who voted for those representatives in the first place.

Schwarzenegger, having governed as if he was Bill Simon ever since he took office, now has poll numbers in the tank. So like any good republican, he is playing to the party core, and a fool proof way of doing that is to kick the gay community in the face. Hey...making same sex marriage an issue worked for President Junior didn't it...?
