Some Catholic Cardinals came out this week in favor of screening homosexuals from the
priesthood, as a means of addressing the continuing problem of child sexual abuse
within the priesthood.
Critics called it an attempt to deflect media attention from revelations that
abusive priests were routinely given shelter within the church.
