{"id":326,"date":"2006-08-25T06:06:11","date_gmt":"2006-08-25T11:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/326"},"modified":"2006-08-25T06:06:11","modified_gmt":"2006-08-25T11:06:11","slug":"tales-from-george-bushs-americacontinued-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/326","title":{"rendered":"Tales From George Bush&#8217;s America&#8230;(continued)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Surprise, surprise&#8230;&nbsp; They&#8217;re putting blacks in the back of the bus again here in America&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shreveporttimes.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20060824\/NEWS01\/608240332\/1002\/?bad\"><strong>Black students ordered to give up seats to whites<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>COUSHATTA &#8212; Nine black children attending Red River Elementary School were directed last week to the back of the school bus by a white driver who designated the front seats for white children.<\/p>\n<p>The situation has outraged relatives of the black children who have filed a complaint with school officials.\n<\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\">\n<tr>\n<td>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Superintendent Kay Easley will meet with the family members in her office this morning.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Easley would not comment much on the allegations Wednesday, saying it is a personnel issue. She acknowledged that she has investigated the claim. And she confirmed that the bus driver did not run her route Wednesday, nor would she today.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if the driver would work for the rest of the year, Easley said, &quot;I&#8217;m not going to answer the questions. &quot;You&#8217;re getting all that you&#8217;re going to get from me.
