{"id":1428,"date":"2008-07-28T10:21:40","date_gmt":"2008-07-28T15:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/1428"},"modified":"2008-07-28T10:28:01","modified_gmt":"2008-07-28T15:28:01","slug":"beware-the-obvious-conclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/1428","title":{"rendered":"Beware The Obvious Conclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You&#8217;ve probably heard by now about that church shooting in Knoxville, Tennessee.&nbsp; You may have even heard that the church, a Unitarian congregation, has just put up a sign outside affirming of gay people.&nbsp; The reflex, and I understand this perfectly as it was my first one too, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pamshouseblend.com\/showDiary.do;jsessionid=F1BF821E76E743EEFCEF233B4635DD13?diaryId=6288\">is to connect the dots<\/a>.&nbsp; But <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knoxnews.com\/news\/2008\/jul\/27\/neighbors-accused-shooter-everyones-friend-hated-c\/\">it&#8217;s not so simple at this point<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The man accused of a mass church shooting this morning was described by his Powell neighbors as a helpful and kind man, but one who had issues with Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>Jim D.
