Rychlak over at Catholic Online <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholic.org\/national\/national_story.php?id=27817\">makes clear what the danger is in banning discrimination against homosexuals<\/a>&#8230;\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If homosexual marriages or civil unions are the equivalent of traditional marriages, you can&#8217;t discriminate. If you do, at the very least you put your government benefits at risk.<\/p>\n<p>This is the same rationale that was used by the Supreme Court in 1983 to uphold stripping Bob Jones University of its tax-exempt status due to its racial policies.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That it was.&nbsp; Gosh it&#8217;s so uncanny how racists and homophobes look so much alike isn&#8217;t it?&nbsp; You&#8217;d almost think they were cut from the same cloth or something&#8230;\n<\/p>\n<p>And in the end, it all comes down to money, not theology.&nbsp; What motivated the Pat Robertsons and Jerry Falwells and James Dobsons of America to pour their poison into American politics for the past several decades wasn&#8217;t abortion, and it wasn&#8217;t gay rights, and it wasn&#8217;t even racism, <a href=\"https:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/753\">it was loosing their tax-exemptions<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Via Pam&#8217;s House Blend&#8230;&nbsp; Ronald J.
