Come on. Bill never said anything about all characters need to be "pure", only that heroes should act heroic. And he wants to make sure they do in HIS books. He wasn't ordering anyone to follow some kind of dogma. He just felt his way to contribute to the culture is to stop trying to tear things down.  Yes, some posters on the thread were a little extreme, but that's the internet for you. Some of them were lefty trolls trying to incite things. I realize your post is somewhat  tongue-in-cheek. But his arguments, if you read them with a fair mind, are not extreme or unreasonable. Even liberals like Kurt Busiek and Heidi MacDonald have defended him on some other sites.  And, while I post on Big Hollywood. I am more of a libertarian than a conservative.  "Right wing nutcases"?
